ABOUT THE IPL ALL STARS + id2 PROGRAM
The IPL All Stars program was developed to foster healthy competition among players, clubs, and families while providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete in the Target USA Cup. We have also partnered with US Club Soccer and their prestigious id2 National Identification & Development Program to provide players born in 2012 with national-level exposure and development. This means: at our training session on December 20, an official id2 scout will be in attendance, making this an official id2 event. This is your chance to showcase your talent and be part of an elite team!
Program Benefits:
• Showcase your skills in a high-performance environment
• Train with skilled, motivated teammates
• Compete under real pressure that elevates your game
• Play in the largest youth soccer tournament in North America — the Target USA CUP
• Gain exposure to diverse playing styles, build confidence, and create world-class memories

Teams will be formed for the 2008/2009 boys and girls, 2010/2011 boys and girls, and 2012 boys and girls groups. In addition, the IPL All Stars coaches for each team will be named. Please note that selected players will be designated as alternates until the final rosters are confirmed. Coaches may then offer players a travel spot. Each team will consist of 16-18 travel players and up to 7 alternates.
IPL All Stars Program FAQs
-
The first three sessions are open tryouts. After this period, selections will be made through ongoing monthly sessions until we finalize the 16-18 player roster. Player recommendations will be based on coach feedback and scouting to ensure we select the strongest possible team to represent IPL at the USA Cup.
Tryout Dates TBD
-
The IPL coaching staff will be chosen based on the event, with representation from clubs that are interested in participating. Coaches will work with age groups they don't typically coach at their own clubs, ensuring a fresh perspective and a well-rounded development experience for the players.
-
The $100 registration fee helps us secure field space and provides each player with a neutral training top, ensuring that the selection process remains unbiased and club-neutral. It also helps us collect necessary information for organization and communication purposes.
-
A coaching staff will make the final decisions for each age group. The goal is to select a 16-18 player roster, with up to 7 alternates. This roster size and alternate players account for potential summer schedule conflicts, ensuring flexibility for families and players.

The IPL’s mission is to elevate the soccer experience in Idaho. For top players, competing in the IPL offers the opportunity to showcase their skills in an environment that demands high-level performance, often leading to competition outside the state. We’re committed to providing players with the best possible experience, including training with skilled teammates, competing under pressure, and playing in what is considered “the largest youth soccer tournament in North America.”
-
Each team will travel with a head coach, assistant coach, and at least one parent chaperone. Players will stay in dorms alongside other teams from around the country and the world. Parents are welcome to attend the event if their child is selected.
-
We are committed to keeping costs as low as possible. Through our partnership with Tursis Soccer, we’re able to offer affordable training tops and free uniforms for the final roster. Additionally, group rate tickets have been purchased at a reasonable price, and Target USA Cup is generously covering the cost for one of our six teams. Our goal is to ensure that the cost for selected players remains as affordable as possible. Total price is estimated between $1,500-$1,700.

The id2 Program, founded in 2004, is a nationally-recognized, US Soccer/Olympic Development Program-approved pathway for youth players. It offers elite players from across the U.S. the chance to be identified, developed and scouted for inclusion in US Youth National Team programs. Under-represented regions, such as Idaho, get the opportunity to add their name to the extensive list of great players. Learn more at usclubsoccer.org/id2/.
